Bright Beginnings was started by Arianna and Ava, two driven high school students who each have a passion for taking care of and spending time with children, and wanted a way to spend their summer vacation pursuing that. Arianna and Ava have held a strong friendship bond for almost a decade. They both have maintained good grades throughout Elementary, Middle, and High School and also have been involved in afterschool activities, clubs, and sports.
I am an upcoming Junior at FCPS. I enjoy crochet, sewing and watching musicals. I currently hold the following certifications: AHA BLS CPR, AHA First Aid, REVIVE!, and Stop The Bleed, all of which apply for both children and adults. I am currently enrolled in The West Potomac academy and am on the path to complete my OT/PT Assistant Certification. I am currently an Early Learner instructor at the Huntsman Kumon which allows me to work 1-on-1 with children ages 3-8 for 30-60 minutes at a time.
I am currently a rising junior at an FCPS high school and will be 16 this summer. I have always loved babysitting and looking after those younger than me. Even when I was very little I was always good with babies and kids younger than I was. I am a varsity athlete and in my free time I enjoy spending time outdoors, painting, baking, photography, and playing tennis. I have a 3.7 GPA and my grades are important to me. Next year I plan to take Cosmetology to pursue my passion of one day having my one business in that field. I have babysitting experience as well as CPR and Hielmich certifications for infants, children, and adults. I have babysat 3 children at once (ages 6 months, 3, and 5) and I think I am very good at balancing multiple children at once. I can make meals for the children as well and bring fun games and crafts depending on their age. Bright Beginnings Childcare will help me have a glimpse of what it’s like to have your own organization and/or business and I think I hope to meet families I can continue to occasionally babysit for throughout my school year.
